About US:
African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit international organization whose objective is to provide operational support but not limited to: supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief and development organizations which primarily focus on disaster-affected and development-orientation areas.

Job Summary: The Senior Human Resource Officer will manage the human resource team to deliver effective, efficient and legally compliant services to meet organisation needs and achieve value for money.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the AIRD Senior Human Resource Officer job should hold a Master’s degree in human resource management, management or Post graduate qualification
  • A minimum of five years of working experience in human resource position preferably in an NGO setting
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and database packages (HRMS)
  • Good understanding of Uganda’s labor laws is a MUST
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of honesty and Integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work in any part of the country
