Job Title:        Regional Health Coordinator

BRAC International is one of the world’s largest Non-Governmental Development Organizations, working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform activities pertaining to the operational management, supportive supervision & coordination of program activities with in the region.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching & necessary support to the Area Health coordinators, Project Assistants and CHPs to resolve issues and take administrative actions accordingly.
  • The incumbent will ensure proper implementation of the program activities through monitoring of the key indicators of implementation and submit necessafy reports to the program manager.
  • Ensure uptake of mobile application by all CHPs in the region, timely reporting by the AHC & PAH
  • Support the health team & program manager as needed with donor visits, staff trainings & stakeholder liaisons especially with local government
  • Conduct necessary field visits to ensure effective program implementation.
  • Strongly practice and maintain (uphold/conduct) organizational values & health ethical values objectivity in all activities and ensure other team members are adhering to it through their activities


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Bachelor’s degree in health related fields (preferred field Nursing, Public health and Clinical Medicine).
  • At least two to three years of health-related experience in direct Community Health work is a plus.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders and especially government (district, health center and local level officials)
  • Ability to ably speak the local languages in the above locations is added advantage.
  • Should possess good interpersonal, supervisory and mentorship skills to mobilize & inspire trust among team members as well as the community to drive performances on health and sales
  • Good communication skills, computer skills (MS office proficiency)
  • Good report writing planning and analytical skills are a must
