Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB)
which is an equal opportunities employer is a semiautonomous public agency set
up by the Uganda Export Promotion Board Act 1996 under the Ministry of Trade,
Industry and Cooperatives with the main objective of facilitating the development,
promotion and coordination of all export- related activities that lead to export
growth on a sustainable basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The
    IT Executive/Webmaster will design, and manage the organization’s
    information management systems
  • The incumbent will also design, and manage modern trade information
    management systems
  • Operate and maintain UEPB website
  • Support SME exporters on web design, and maintenance
  • Develop an inter-institutional systems network
    with trade-data capturing agencies including
  • URA,
    UNBS, BOU, MTIC, and MAAIF for effective coordination of export
    information
  • Operate and maintain databanks on all
    registered exporters and potential exporters
  • Operate and maintain a statistical information
    system capable of regular export data capture, collation analysis, storage and
    retrieval



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the Uganda Export Promotions Board (UEPB) IT Executive/Webmaster
    job opportunity must be a Ugandan who holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in
    any IT related courses from a recognized awarding University or
    Institution. Post graduate qualifications or professional qualifications
    in IT related courses are added advantage.
  • A
    minimum of three years’ experience in a reputable organization. Private
    sector experience is added advantage.
  • Good data capture, collation analysis, storage
    and retrieval skills
  • Extensive knowledge of trade information
    management systems
  • Knowledge of international trade
