Job Title:        Sales Data Analyst
Organisation: SolarNow
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Senior Sales Operations Manager

About US:
SolarNow is an asset financing company that sells high quality solar product and appliances to households and businesses in Uganda. The company started in 2011 and has since opened 46 branches throughout Uganda, employs around 600 people.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Inter-desk sales Operations:
  • Feedback loop: Ensure there is a daily feedback loop with all the branches in order to maximize the efficiency of the sales channels in each region/area.
  • Staff Satisfaction: By excellent client care: we distinguish ourselves from others because of our service level to clients, so you represent our company and therefore you act accordingly.
  • Message platforms: Make the necessary communications to the branches and Regions to ensure a smooth flow of information between HQ and the branches in order to increase productivity.
  • Decision making and Reporting: Work closely with the sales operations team to ensure accurate sales reporting and decision support
Sales Reporting:
  • Reconciliation: Carryout stock report checks for all the branch stock reports received from the branches. You also conduct snap stock reconciliations with the branches to minimize stock loss.
  • SAS Processing: Generate pick lists, stock moves and stock reconciliations in accordance with the set departmental and company policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on the backlog and ensure accurate delivery to the branches as per the delivery notes. You also generate branch stock tracking reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Forecast: Perform sales forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking changes in methods and materials.
  • Data Analysis: Keenly analyze and interpret sales data – create sales models for decision support and recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed
  • Trends analysis: Analyze past results, perform variance analysis; identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization
  • Sales Performance Analysis:  Evaluate sales performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts Reporting on sales performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and driving process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards. Increases productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
  • Market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
SAS Sales Operations:
  • SAS Clean up: Carry out clean up of the incompletes and the approved to ensure that all issues that can be handled on our part are effected managed and corrected to speed up the turn around time
  • Installation Report: You ensure that all branches have uploaded installations reports of all the installations they have carried out.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the SolarNow Sales Data Analyst job vacancy must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any accredited university or college in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology or related field. Possession of a Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science and Analytics is desired
