the world’s largest Non-Governmental Development Organizations, working in a
number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation Programs, is
registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements integrated
development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock,
Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Take
    proactive actions to develop and maintain healthy relationships with government
    and NGOs, Solve legal and disputed issues, provide technical & relational
    expertise to programme and support unit teams to strengthen BRAC position
    in host country.
  • Represent
    BRAC to foreign and national governments, partners, donors and other
    stakeholders, and develop and maintain productive relationships and be the
    BRAC’s representative and salesperson to ail publics, including local and
    international media/ audience.
  • Help
    CR to ensure proper and transparent management of resources and reporting
    systems are established in the country r accordance with the policy and
    procedures and all regulatory requirements of BRAC, host country
    governments and donor’s policy
  • The
    jobholder will visit projects to encourage, advice, build relationships,
    evaluate [ arid inspect the funded projects. Accordingly follow-up with
    the programme managers on the findings of audit, risk register and monitoring
    report
  • Keenly
    analyze continuous impact and effectiveness of existing programmes on a
    national level and adapt accordingly



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold a Masters/ PhD in Technical subject areas.
  • At
    least eight to ten years of proven programme/project development aid
    management experience in a developing country.
  • Professional
    knowledge in diverse development approaches
  • Ability
    to think strategically, conceptualize new ideas, digest and analyze
    complex information and present coherent work plan or implementation plan
  • Proposal
    writing/ report writing, donor requirement understanding/conceptual skills,
    coordination & networking information gathering & analysis),
    budgeting, presentation ability
