Job Summary: The Hygiene Promoter
will report to the Initiative manager on community mobilization, hygiene
promotion, messages and/or any improvements in Sanitation and Hygiene
components of the program. The Hygiene Promoter will implement and supervise
distribution of hygiene kits to PSN households at community level in the
settlements, mobilize community volunteers provide the necessary training and
ensure effective hygiene promotion and develop community hygiene promotion
plan. S/he will ensure that the approved work plan is properly implemented as
agreed with the supervisor. S/he will ensure planning, preparation of weekly,
monthly and quarterly work plans, and report on field activities that are
properly drafted and timely submitted to the Initiative Manager. S/he will
promote and facilitate healthy hygiene behaviors among PSN households,
including hand-washing, proper use of water and safe disposal of feces.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Care International
    Hygiene Promoter job placement should preferably hold a BSC in
    Environmental Health, or any related field.
  • One year of experience in a similar
    position (NGO/Private or Public sector);
  • Highly reliable, honest
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Resistance to stress
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good team player.
