Job Summary: The Health Specialist
(Systems Strengthening) will be responsible for the policy, planning,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Health Systems Strengthening
activities under CSD programme component with focus on decentralized
evidence-based planning and monitoring, integrated supply chain management,
health information management and community engagement for Health, Nutrition
and WASH. Additionally, under the Office of the Deputy Representatives Office,
responsible for advising and coordinating Technology for Development (T4D)
related programmes across the country office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to program development and
planning
·        
Program management, monitoring and delivery of
results
·        
Technical and operational support to program
implementation
·        
Tasked with networking and partnership building
·        
In charge of innovation, knowledge management
and capacity building



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The ideal candidate for the United Nations
UNICEF Health Specialist (Systems Strengthening) job placement should hold an advanced
university degree in any of the following: Medicine, Public Health,
International Health, Health Policies and Planning, Health Economics,
Epidemiology, Public Administration 
·        
At least eight years progressively responsible
professional work experience in public health, health systems strengthening,
social development, project administration, monitoring and evaluation, some at
the international level.
·        
Prior developing country work experience.
·        
Familiarity with emergency is considered an
asset.
·        
Fluency in English required and another UN
language an advantage. Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an
asset.
