Job Summary: The
Microfinance Manager will provide leadership and overall direction of business
growth in the Microfinance and Group loan Portfolio, oversee the growth of
quality loan portfolio and deposits, while maintaining a balance between social
and financial goals. The Microfinance manager is a member of the management
team and is a focal manager of the Bank’s Group products. The Microfinance
manager has 4 main areas of responsibility;
  • Business growth and Management (sales
    management & Customer satisfaction)
  • Business development
  • Training and staff Development
  • Planning & Reporting
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Grow the Group Loan portfolio in number
    and value
  • Grow group savings in number and value
  • Manage the quality of group loans
    portfolio
  • Tasked with managing the profitability of
    Group products
  • Ensure quality of Customer service



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant for the Opportunity Bank
    Uganda Ltd (OBUL) Microfinance Manager career opportunity should hold a
    University degree preferably in a business related discipline. Masters is
    an added advantage
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the banking sector
  • Three years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Advanced people management and motivation
    skills
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of sales
    management and customer service
  • Broad understanding of credit and risk
    management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven report writing and presentation
    skills
  • Good knowledge of Ms. Office.
  • Knowledge of the core banking system is an
    added advantage
