Job Title:       Manufacturing Supervisor (Re-advertised)

Job Summary: The Manufacturing
Supervisor will manage the production process and take lead by establishing daily
production targets, improving the manufacturing process, and ensuring the company meets existing quality standards. It is a big job for a fast growing firm with
big goals.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • Plan
    production and shipping schedules and set production targets
  • Preparing
    reports to monitor materials usage and efficiency
  • Oversee
    Product Line Leaders and team of 40 production staff
  • Tasked
    with improving the production process to increase quality, reduce labor
    hours and lead time, and minimize waste
  • Create
    quality controls to address common issues and verifying that controls are
    followed
  • Estimate
    costs for new product lines
  • Determine
    labor needs each season and for new product lines
  • Set
    material re-order points each season based on forecasted demand
  • Calculate
    materials needs for daily production schedule
  • Minimize
    machinery down time through maintenance and training
  • Ensuring
    that health and safety regulations are followed/ 
  • Communicate regularly with US Operations Manager regarding production timeline and estimated
    ship dates




Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
  • The
    applicant should have at least five years’ experience in a high volume
    manufacturing setting. 
  • A minimum of three
    years of directly supervising production staff
  • Computer literacy i.e. Proficient
    in Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Fluency
    in English, (both oral and written)
