affected by conflict or natural disasters. ZOA wants to contribute to a new
perspective of HOPE in which people work together for a promising future in
dignity and mutual trust. Together with the affected communities we work on the
RECOVERY until they can provide to take care of their livelihoods. The work of
ZOA is coordinated from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. From Apeldoorn ZOA operates
in seventeen countries in Africa, Middle East Region and Asia. ZOA works
approximately with 1000 employees worldwide. 
In Uganda, ZOA has offices in Kampala, West Nile (Arua), Acholi (Nwoya),
and Karamoja (Amudat). ZOA Uganda works both in relief and recovery on the
themes of food security & livelihoods, WASH, primary/accelerated/vocational
education, and conflict management with a special focus on land security.
Job Summary: The Finance
Officer (Cashier) will support ZOA – Uganda’s country office and should have experience
in general accounting with key tasks including handling cashbook, financial
filing and reconciliation.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • Ensure timely, proper and correct
    financial records.
  • The jobholder will prepare and ensure
    timely payments through both cash and bank
  • The Cashier will be posting all finance
    transactions into financial system.
  • Support the procurement process in payment
    and digital filing.
     



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the ZOA Finance
    Officer (Cashier) job opportunity should hold a certificate or diploma in
    Accounting or any other related field. 
  • Previous experience with accounting
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in Word, Excel, database management, digital filing
  • Proven skills, in administration,
    high-level communication and writing skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Self motivator, having the ability to work
    with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in an innovative
    environment where plans are developed fast and open for change
  • Ability to give transparent
    accountability.
  • Mature personality who is able to
    integrate and express Christian values like love and inclusiveness in
    rehabilitation work
