operating The Daily Monitor, Saturday Monitor and Sunday Monitor newspapers,
93.3KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, Nation Couriers and the Monitor Business Directory.
Job Summary: The Business
Executive – Print be responsible for growing advertising sales volumes in order
to generate revenue and achieve their business targets.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Aggressively grows advertising business by
    conducting daily Sales visits to potential and existing clients.
  • Coordinates the production of client’s
    adverts and get their approval
  • Collects dues on all advertising space sold
    on credit with in agreed timelines
  • The incumbent maintains sales contacts
    with appropriate representative of major advertisers and to follow-up and
    resolve any complaints.
  • Develops daily, weekly and monthly
    prospects of potential clients
  • Files weekly reports with the Business
    Manager on week’s activities and itineraries.
  • Coordinates supplements for MPL clients.
    Ensures that adverts and content for supplements are done, ready and
    approved in liaison with the relevant departments at MPL
  • Sends monthly sales and collection reports
    to the Business Manager.
  • Handles all customer complaints and gives
    feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and growing client portfolio.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicants for the MPL Business
    Executive – Print job should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
    business-related course or equivalent qualification
  • Good Computing skills
  • A
    minimum of two years’ experience as a sales person selling services
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the
    digital space in Uganda
  • Working knowledge of social media and
    other digital applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
    skills
  • Passionate for results and numbers driven
  • Impeccable integrity
  • Good proposal writing skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong
    relationships
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent planning and organizational
    skills
