Mildmay Uganda is a faith- based local Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) offering Comprehensive HIV Care & treatment, Training, Research & General Medical Services; also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. 
Job Summary: The Regional
Finance & Admin Officer will be responsible for providing oversight on
financial transactions for district led programing and sub granting at the Mubende
regional office so as to ensure compliance to policies and procedures regarding
disbursement of funds including accurate submission of accountabilities and
financial reports for organisational decision making. S/he will also be
responsible for coordinating the administrative function of the regional
office.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Mildmay
    Regional Finance & Admin Officer job opportunity must hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting), BBA (Accounting) with full
    professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
  • At least three years’ experience in middle
    management positions in Accounting, Finance or Auditing field.
  • S/he must have proven knowledge of donor
    financial accounting procedures (multi donor reporting)
  • Broad understanding of GOU and IAS/AFRS
    accounting requirements
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in MS Excel and MS Word and at least one accounting package (preferably
    Navision) with working knowledge of general Administrative procedures.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
    skills
  • Good teaching/presentation skills;
  • Highly analytical and good decision making
    skills;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in various MS office packages.
  • Show commitment to quality and excellence,
    and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Highly flexible and reliable
  • Evidence of a non-judgemental approach
    regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
