About Program:
Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the
humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub-region.
Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and
Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Job Summary: The MEAL
Coordinator will serve as the overall technical lead on MEAL activities. The incumbent
will work closely with MEAL Officers, Technical Coordinators (WASH, EFSL and
Protection) and the Program Quality Coordinator in designing and updating the
overall emergency response MEAL strategy, frameworks and tools and, provide
leadership and support to MEAL staff and Project teams in implementing MEAL
framework and tools. The incumbent will oversee the preparation of clear data
collection plans in collaboration with the Program teams and supervise field
data collection exercises, data management and analysis and, analyse the data,
together with the project team. Oversee capacity building of partners and
support the periodic monitoring and technical support visits to partner working
areas, including assessing progress against agreed MEAL system and recommend
corrective actions as appropriate.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Oxfam MEAL
    Coordinator career placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
    field.
  • Previous exposure and experience preferably
    with a non-profit organization
