About US:
InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian
national organization established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO
Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved in programs geared towards the
protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and
rural areas in Uganda and in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused
on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food
Security, Health (HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health),
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and
good Management and Governance systems.
Job Summary: The Information
Technology (IT) Officer will provide an efficient and secure network that
supports end users to perform their duties while ensuring a controlled and
secure computer systems environment and developing employee skills.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the InterAid
    Uganda Limited (IAU) Information Technology (IT) Officer job opportunity
    should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, information systems,
    computer engineering or any related discipline.
  • Professional certifications i.e. CCNA,
    CISA, MCSE/MCTS is required
  • At least five years of significant
    exposure and work experience in a similar role.
  • Operational knowledge of Information
    Systems Analysis and Design.
  • Broad knowledge of computer application
    development tools like MS Access, Visual Basic, C/C++ , Transact SQL and
    Oracle PL/SQL
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft SQL
    Server and Oracle Database Management Systems
  • Extensive knowledge in developing and
    Administering web sites/Web servers
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. knowledge of
    Microsoft Office 2002/2003/2007/2008/2013/2016 products Suite (Word,
    Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher), document management systems and
    Internet/Intranet
  • Excellent written and oral communication
    skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good data analysis skills
  • Excellent data management and analysis
  • Good stakeholder management skills
