About Us:
The Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company (UECCC) is in place to
facilitate investments in Uganda’s high potential renewable energy sector.
UECCC’s mandate is to provide a reliable framework for pooling resources from
Government, Investors and Development Partners and to channel the same to
viable renewable energy projects.
Job Summary: The Finance
Specialist will be responsible for running the treasury function of UECCC.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Work alongside a Treasury Consultant to
    put in place and operationalise a treasury function at UECCC
  • Prepare asset and liability reports
  • The jobholder will also prepare an submit
    liquidity management reports
  • Track loan performance and prepare
    quarterly billing notes for UECCC clients
  • Ensure compliance to reserve policy for
    guarantee schemes
  • Prepare investment and capital
    replenishment proposals in respect with UECCC’s capital requirements
  • The jobholder will also support the
    UECCC’s annual and long term planning processes by playing a key role in
    the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of annual budgets and other
    financial estimates
  • Process financial transactions and ensure
    proper and timely accountabilities from recipients
  • Conduct tax planning and compliance review
    exercises
  • Prepare any ad-hoc reports requested for
    monitoring of UECCC’s financing facilities; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Finance
    Specialist should hold an honours degree in Accounting or
    Commerce/Finance/Business Administration with a bias in Accounting, from a
    recognized University
  • Professional qualifications in Accounting (including but not
    limited to ACCA, CPA among others)
  • Possession of a post graduate
    qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration will be an
    added advantage
  • A minimum of five years of relevant
    working experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of
    computer accounting packages will be an added advantage
  • Age: Below 40 years
