Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Business Development – In
    charge of managing and retaining existing relationships and generating new
    business in the assigned market segments by providing core banking
    products and services. This will include increase customer base, growth in
    balance sheet (liabilities – mainly in LCY), growth in earnings and
    actively cross-selling bank products and services.
  • Relationship Management – Adequacy
    of personal competence to effectively perform Account Relationship
    Management tasks to ensure the customer relations are maintained well to
    reduce complaints and also retain existing customers by management of
    customer expectations.
  • Formulate strategies for maintaining and
    further penetrating existing client base and execute the strategy through
    calls, visits, needs assessment, account plans, customer qualification and
    follow-up meetings to maintain, enhance and expand customer relationships
  • Ensure compliance to the Bank’s policies,
    procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and
    quarterly administration and business performance reports.
  • Develop and implement a focused efficient
    and effective customer service strategy which will increase the flow of
    business from existing customers and generate business from new customers.
  • The jobholder will also customize and
    implement transactional banking solutions 
    based on customer’s needs
  • Structure compelling solution proposals to
    demonstrate a thorough understanding of each client’s requirements and
    objectives
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and
    quarterly administration and business performance reports.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a University
    Degree from a recognized institution. 
    Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification
    in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • At least three to five years’ experience
    in Relationship Management and two years’ experience in credit and a
    proven record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of
    corporate banking clients.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank operations
    and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate
    clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to make prompt decisions
    and be independent in problem solving
  • Excellent analytical skills, be
    open-minded and have the ability to identify alternative solutions
  • Possess good knowledge of Bank products
    and problem solving techniques
  • Excellent risk and financial analysis
    skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability
    to establish new client relationships and 
    generate  new business
  • Have passion and commitment to excellence
