dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for
the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter,
education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and
hygiene sectors.
Job Summary: The Finance
Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination of financial matters
for the Uganda area.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
·        
The Finance Coordinator will implement NRC’s
financial systems and procedures at area level
·        
Ensure adherence to Financial Handbook, other
NRC policies and donor requirements
·        
Maintain budget control and monitor cash flow
for the area
·        
Ensure that the accounting, monitoring and
reporting are according to procedures
·        
Mentor, train and develop financial team
·        
Prepare and send reports and analysis as
required
·        
Ensure proper filing of all financial documents
·        
Support project staff in financial matters
·        
Mentor and supervise the Finance officer
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        
The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council
(NRC) Finance Coordinator job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Finance / Economics
·        
Previous exposure and experience from working as
a Finance Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context
·        
Previous experience from working in complex and
volatile contexts
·        
Documented results related to the position’s
responsibilities
·        
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
·        
Managing resources to optimize results
·        
Managing performance and development
·        
Excellent analytical skills
·        
Handling insecure environments
·        
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
·
