Job Title:       Finance Officer
Organisation: Most At Risk Populations (MARPs) Network
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager
About US:
The
Most At Risk Populations (MARPs) Network is a not-for-profit Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) whose purpose is “to serve as a platform for MARPs voices
through facilitating coordinated response at national level in Uganda.”
Job Summary: The Finance Officer will provide comprehensive
financial management and administrative support to MARPs Network in promoting
efficiency and effectiveness of its operations
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Offer timely technical support in resource
    mobilization
  • Management of income and expenditure
  • In charge of the maintenance of financial
    systems and procedure
  • In charge of the production of regular
    management accounts and reports
  • Actively participate in the development and
    implementation of strategies for fundraising and resource mobilization for
    MARPs Network operations
  • Ensure compliance and other internal
    processes are adhered to in the day to day operations of MARPs Network, in
    line with regulations, policies and applicable laws
  • Perform any other duty assigned by the
    supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
    in either Commerce or Business Administration or its equivalent
  • Certified accountant: CPA, ACCA or its
    equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in
    a Non-Government Organization with donor funded programs
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in use of
    Microsoft Navision Dynamics and other accounting packages
  • Previous experience working with Populations
    most at risk of HIV and other vulnerable populations is an added advantage
