Prison (POP) is a young Dutch non-profit organisation that was founded in the
beginning of 2011. POP’s mission is to assist prisoners in developing countries
with their successful rehabilitation and reintegration by giving them the
skills and opportunities necessary to rebuild their lives and to return to
their communities.
Job Summary:  The Monitoring & Evaluation Volunteer will
support Product of Prison (POP) in setting up a monitoring & evaluation
system to assess and improve the quality and impact of our work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
In charge of designing and implementing monitoring
and evaluation strategies, frameworks and tools, including setting up a follow-up
system and an online comprehensive support network to track the progress of
released prisoners;
·        
The incumbent will also mentor and train project
staff on all M&E tools and other relevant M&E topics and oversee the
project staff implementing M&E activities in the field;
·        
Regularly review existing evaluation data;
·        
Gather, manage and analyze all qualitative and
quantitative data;
·        
Summarize key findings, lessons learned and
recommendations and produce reports and data summaries;
·        
Responsible for reporting and presenting on all
M&E activities, results, outcomes and outputs to stakeholders and donors;
·        
Prepare input for fundraising applications, donor
reports, POP’s Annual Report and any other reports where required;
·        
Participate in networking and carry out tasks where
needed be to promote POP;
·        
Perform any other duties assigned by the Founding
Director that may be reasonably requested.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should preferably hold relevant
academic background (e.g. International Development Studies) and formal
training in M&E, statistical analysis, data management or other relevant
fields;
·        
Prior experience in field work and monitoring and
evaluation in particular is highly preferred;
·        
Clear and effective written and oral communication
skills in English;
·        
Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, SPSS Software or other statistical packages
·        
Accurate, eye for detail and excellent
organisational skills;
·        
Comfortable with local and national travel by public
transport;
·        
Self-motivated and able to work independently with
minimal supervision;
·        
Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexibility,
adaptability and creativity to work in a challenging environment;
·        
Broad knowledge and interest in supporting prisoners
and former prisoners.
Job Terms and Conditions:  This is an entry level position for a student,
graduate volunteer or someone who would like to gain international work
experience within a small NGO. We offer an international flight, a modest
living allowance and health insurance based on a 36 hour working week and a one
year contract (shorter period negotiable).
