Job Summary: The Private Sector Development
Advisor will support the World Vision Project through the development,
adaptation and application of best practices in public-private partnerships,
marketing and behavior change, and advise on successful approaches to create
sustainable markets for low cost WASH products for target populations. The
Private Sector Development Advisor will also provide strategic advisory
guidance and recommendations to the Chief of Party and project Team Leaders on
leveraging commercial sector investment in WASH products and services.
Advisor will support the World Vision Project through the development,
adaptation and application of best practices in public-private partnerships,
marketing and behavior change, and advise on successful approaches to create
sustainable markets for low cost WASH products for target populations. The
Private Sector Development Advisor will also provide strategic advisory
guidance and recommendations to the Chief of Party and project Team Leaders on
leveraging commercial sector investment in WASH products and services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer support to project team, government,
private sector partners and other stakeholders to develop a technical
strategy on public-private partnership and market sustainability for WASH
products and services within the target districts. - Map, identify and forge select strategic
private sector partnerships; - Generate private sector support for
project objectives through corporate social responsibility funds,
investment and through shared values; - The incumbent will also develop expertise
in, and advise project on the role and potential of social enterprise in
advancing its mission; - Support/advise on marketing for private
sector partners (manufacturers, distributers, private WASH service
providers); - The incumbent will represent project when
required and make presentations at professional meetings and conferences; - The incumbent will also perform any other
duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Private Sector Development Advisor should hold a Master’s degree in
Business, Management, Economics, Finance or related field - At least ten years’ experience in the
private sector or providing technical assistance to improve private sector
performance. - Prior experience with WASH and private
sector development - Must be a committed Christian, able to
stand above denominational diversities. - Attend and participate/lead in daily
devotions and weekly Chapel services
NB: The position is open to Only Ugandan
Nationals.
