About NDA:
The National Drug Authority (NDA) is an autonomous body which was
established by the National Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206 , Laws of
Uganda (2000 Edition) to regulate Human and Veterinary Medicines and other
healthcare products. NDA’s mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of
human and veterinary medicines and other healthcare products through the
regulation and control of their production, importation, distribution and use.
Job Summary: The incumbents
will enter data into a web-based/offline database interface using data from
various NDA specific internal documents on 
Imported or Exported Pharmaceuticals and scan and index sources
documents from which the above data has been captured.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Organise and maintain hard copy records on
    files and other forms of documentation.
  • Prepare data from various paper documents
    for computer database entry by
    compiling and sorting the information.
  • Establish entry priorities and review data
    for deficiencies or completeness
    and performing detailed edit checks of all inputs
  • Enter data by inputting alpha-numeric
    information using an established procedure
    and through a detailed web based or offline database interface
  • Maintain data entry requirements by
    meticulously following the stipulated
    data program techniques and procedures
  • Verify entered data by reviewing,
    correcting or re-entering the data,
    combining data from multiple paper forms to ensure that the required information is complete
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the
    supervisor from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a Diploma in
    Pharmacy or Clinical pharmacology
  • At least a year’ experience processing
    medical data entry in a reputable organization.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in the
    above fields or closely related profession
  • Possession of knowledge in database
    management tools and MS Office applications
  • Good knowledge and understanding of terms
    used in Pharrmaceutical data.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to
    detail
  • Possess the ability to work co-operatively
    with others to meet tight deadline
