Job Summary: The Procurement Officer will plan and supervise the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that adequate utilities are provided cost effectively based on the approved budgets that meet NTV Uganda’s business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Receive all internal purchase requests and overseas goods and services from user departments and ensure that they meet all specifications    
  • Sources for goods and services from the approved suppliers through quotations and proforma invoices to determine availability and pricing
  • Ensure that the approved IPRs are promptly processed and LPO sent to the suppliers in time
  • Work in liaison with the approved suppliers, clearing and forwarding agents, and transporters for timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensures that bonded warehouse regulations are compiled with all times
  • Processes Third Party service providers contracts for approval
  • Arranges for insurance covers for all imported goods
  • Analyses and evaluates tender documents for the tender committee to make sure they are in tandem with the best practices in the industry
  • Build and managing supplier/customer relations/stakeholder engagement
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:     
  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Commerce, Business Administration
  • Professional qualifications in Procurement (CIPS;
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in similar role preferably in a service company
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Possess a high degree of honesty and integrity
