Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing
and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers,
scanners and more - Planning and
undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades - Responding
to clients and computer users to determine the nature of problems - Quickly resolves
issues and amicably breaks them down - Investigating, diagnosing and solving
computer software and hardware faults - Repairing
equipment and replacing parts - Overseeing
the junior engineering and technical staff - Agreeing call-out
timescales - Obtaining
replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings - Ensuring compliance
with health and safety legislation - Check and
verify computer equipment for electrical safety - Maintaining
records of software licences - Managing stocks
of equipment, consumables and other supplies. - Perform
any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Tropical
Bank IT Officer should essentially possess the ideal technical skills to
execute the above functions - Advanced organizational
skills - Excellent
interpersonal skills - Good communication
skills - Exhibit
high degree of patience - Show a
meticulous nature - Highly logical
mind - High capability
of working well under pressure.
