Children’s Charity Uganda) is a Non-Governmental Organization operating in
Wakiso and Mubende Districts. Nurture Africa is committed to contribute towards
the Health and Development of the most Vulnerable Children in these areas of
operation through high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and
Sustainable livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in
Ugandan society. NA primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and
Vulnerable Children and works with their families holistically for sustainable
change to occur.
Job Summary: The Project Coordinator
will provide technical guidance, support and overall coordination to Mubende
Project Officers regarding project management to achieve Nurture Africa’s
primary objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support project
    officers in the development of annual work plans and budgets
  • Guarantee
    that project staff implements project interventions as per approved annual
    work plans and budget.
  • Oversee project
    interventions, meetings with stakeholders and ensure the action plans developed
    are relevant to the           interventions.
  • Provide
    support and manage collaborating CSO partners and ensure that they
    contribute to NA monthly projects targets
  • Ensure
    that project officers summit their weekly reports and plans every Monday
    before any new interventions are implemented, the plans are aligned to the
    approved budgets and are in line with the established quality standards.
  • Attend departmental and any           other committee meetings to advise
    project staff on issues related to project planning and implementation
  • Work in
    liaison with senior management staff to write competitive grants proposals
    for funding.
  • Perform
    any other duties as assigned by the Country Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social
    Administration, Social Sciences and / or Development Studies,
  • Additional
    Post graduate training in Project Management is added advantage.
  • A minimum
    of five years’ experience in Project Coordination and Management
  • Computer
    literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
