Distribution Manager
Chain Management Organisation that specialises in Logistics and Supply Chain
Management Services for pharmaceutical products and health commodities is
seeking to recruit for the following positions to support their projects:
Delivery Management Coordinator will offer technical support in the
distribution and fleet management by ensuring that vehicles are available and
provided in accordance to the policies in place, ensuring that they are in good
working condition at all times.
- Coordinate
MAUL owned and contracted distribution vendors to collect, load and
transport health commodities according to schedule and ensure appropriate
vehicle conditions meet the agreed standards. - Ensure an
effective and efficient fleet management service is provided that meets
the need of the service in accordance with Best Practice. - Establish,
coordinate and monitor 3PL contracts for fleet services and supplies. - Monitor
MAUL own fleet and key performance indicators. - Plan,
assign, organize, inspect, supervise and oversee all major vehicle
repairs. - Ensuring
the security of MAUL vehicles when not in use and inform relevant staff of
car availability and vehicle locations Support and manage both Maul and
contracted distribution vendors to ensure that they meet agreed schedules
and the set MAUL standards. Implement best practice transportation
management Standard Operating Procedures, policies and tools. - Preparing
daily, weekly, monthly and yearly report on the fleet management. - Ensuring
the drivers adhere to schedules and route destinations. - Ensuring
compliance and enforcement of existing company policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant
legislation and regulations in respect to vehicle maintenance and
deployment. - Maintain
and keep updated the fleet registers.
- The
applicant must possess a good diploma in Mechanical Engineering. - Professional
CIPS will be an added advantage - At least three
to four years’ professional experience in logistics management especially
transport and distribution in a medium size organization. - Prior
experience in Logistics Management Information Systems would be an added
advantage. - Should
have an understanding of routes within Uganda to various health facilities
and districts. - Possess
the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent Communication
skills, both oral and written. - Computer
literacy skills with practical experience in logistics as well as software
packages
working with Medical Access Uganda Limited (MAUL), a leading Health Supply
