About PPS:
The Parliamentary Pension Scheme (PPS)
was established by the Parliamentary Pensions Act 2007 as a Contributory Hybrid
Cash Balance Retirement Benefit Plan for the Members of Parliament of Uganda
and the staff of the Parliamentary Commission. The Scheme is managed by a Board
of Trustees, constituted in accordance with the Act.
Job Summary: The Office Assistant/
Driver will maintain and operate office vehicle and provide administration
support services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Operate
    and maintain the Scheme’s vehicle.
  • Maintain
    schedule for all activities and events involving transport.
  • Maintain
    and update records for motor vehicle movement, repairs, servicing,
    insurance and consumables.
  • Ensure
    cleanliness of the office and motor vehicle.
  • Deliver
    and collect mails and general documents.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The job
    holder should possess a Certificate in Office Practice/Office
    Administration.
  • Valid
    driving license with classes B and CM or DM.
  • Possess a
    Certificate in Defensive Driving or basic mechanical engineering
    qualification is an added advantage.
  • A minimum
    of five (5) years of accident free driving record with a reputable public
    or private organization.
  • Computer
    literacy skills (Office based applications).
  • Confidentiality,
    Diligence & Reliability.
  • Excellent
    organizational skills.
  • Good time
    management skills.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent
    customer relations skills.
Language proficiency: Fluency in written & spoken English is a must.
Age: Between 25-40 years
