Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Systems Engineering
Professional will primarily be responsible for:
  • Development/ Enhancement, testing,
    maintenance, and support innovative Telco applications / software-as-a-service
    portal products.
  • Work with product and UI designers to
    define the visual interface and logical design of web-based applications.
  • Integration of various applications &
    data synchronization.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers,
    quality assurance engineers for successful delivery.
  • Work in all phases of a rapid product
    development lifecycle.
  • Perform any other related job tasks as
    assigned by the supervisor at IBM.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The prospective IBM employeer should hold
    a relevant Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the area on Information
    Technology
  • A minimum of four to six years’
    professional experience in software or systems engineering
  • At least four to six years experience in
    enterprise level IT environment with comprehensively specialized knowledge
    related to Mobility Services such as Directory Service, Authentication,
    Email backbone, Exchange, BlackBerry
  • At least four to six years experience in
    system integration of messaging applications is preferred
  • A minimum of four to six years’ experience
    in windows skills like knowledge of IIS, Powershell, understanding of
    Active Directory and Windows clustering
  • A minimum of four to six years’ experience
    in Linux Skills like Shell scripting or Perl, Security best practices, Good
    understanding of DB2 7 Oracle and the ability to support, RHEL clustering
  • At least four to six years’ experience and
    exposure to other IT skills like experience in SAN technology, good
    understanding of VMware, understanding of Load Balancing and networking
  • English Language proficiency
