About RWANU:
Concern
Worldwide Uganda is implementing a USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development
Food Aid programme called “Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture and
Nutrition RWANU”) in Karamoja. RWANU will focus on two strategic
objectives to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in
selected sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja: (1) Improved availability and
access to food and (2) reduced malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers
and children under five.
Job Summary: The Field Coordinator will manage and plan trainings of Health Promoters
and Health Educators. In addition, He or she will also plan training activities
in line with food distribution procedures.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The Field Coordinator must possess a
    bachelor’s degree in community development, preference for a degree in a
    Health related field. 
  • Three years’ experience a in health and nutrition
    related development work in a challenging environment, preferably with an
    International NGO.
  • The candidate should have, at minimum, a
    basic understanding of Ngakarimojong and be proficient in English language
    both oral and written;
  • Broad understanding of health related
    issues affecting poverty and the latest approaches to development
  • Past experience in management or
    coordination activities, and demonstrated experience in integrating cross
    cutting issues.
