institutional investors, including the Commonwealth Development Corporation
(CDC), a UK Government owned company.
Job Summary: The Asset
Verification Officer will work within the network capital investment program,
support the program development and execution teams by verifying, throughout
implementation and up to pre-commissioning of the assets, that the objectives
of each individual project are being met.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
  • Do systematic verification of projects to
    ensure adherence to initial objectives and designs, specifications and
    execution plans
  • Verify that projects deliver planned
    performance and outputs to time, budget commitments and quality
    specifications
  • Verify physical existence of assets in compliance
    with documentary evidence
  • Advise on compliance and non-compliance with
    objectives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by
    supervisor.
     
Qualifications, Skills
and Experience:
  • The candidate should hold a Degree in
    Electrical Engineering
  • At least three years in a similar position,
    preferably in a utility or a business with similar range and complexity
  • Good working knowledge of distribution network
    assets and their construction methodology
  • Good communication skills and experience of
    interacting with senior engineering, finance and supporting functions
  • Experience in power utility companies is
    preferable.
  • Possess a high level of integrity
  • Capacity for intelligent evaluation of
    documentation
  • The candidate should be a good communicator.
