subsidiary company to Uganda Gatsby Trust. A trust supported by the Gatsby
Charitable Foundation (UK). Gatsby is a fast growing company with branches in
Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Fortportal and Masaka. Its Head offices
are located in Katwe.
Job
Summary: The Credit
Officer is to contribute to identify new clients; appraise and assess loan
applications; prepare assessments and recommendations for the loans committee;
and educate clients as to their responsibilities for repayment of loans.



Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contribute
    to the profitability of the branch by effectively achieving set sales
    targets through actively and proactively identifying sales opportunities;
  • Keep
    the portfolio at risk at the acceptable minimum through actively following
    up on all clients for timely repayments;
  • Proactively
    and continuously deliver service excellence.
Qualifications, Skills
& Experience:
  • The
    applicant should possess a Bachelor degree or diploma in commerce,
    education or a business related field.
  • Ability
    to work in any of the network offices.
  • Ability
    to effectively sell the institution’s financial products.
  • Excellent
    communication and interpersonal skills.
    Good computer literacy skills
