Responsibilities:
management and coordination:
- Lead and management implementation of
urban programs in Kampala. - Mapping strategic stakeholders and
partners for urban programs and potential donors. - Manage PR and engagements with potential
funding agencies such as the private sector, UN agencies and governments. - Lead in the resource mobilization for
urban programming and programs
monitoring and evaluation:
- Facilitate effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in
compliance with agreed standards - Ensure a functional project M&E system
management:
- Manage project finances and assets in line with WV policy
- Budget management and control
- Manage sub granting processes to partners
management and supervision:
- Manage, supervise and build capacity of
staff in urban project development, management and implementation. - Monitor and document performance of
partners
development:
- Guide staff in design and development of
Annual Operation Plans and budgets - Review project documents
and collaboration:
- Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and
networks with partners and other stakeholders in planning and
implementation. - Develop plat forms for sharing information with partners and
stakeholders - Guide and participate in joint campaigns, advocacy initiatives
around youth empowerment with partners and stakeholders - Ensure project advocacy initiatives are implemented in line with
WVUs Advocacy agenda
and reporting:
- Timely submission of end of monthly, bi – annual and annual reports
- Documentation and sharing of best/promising practices to strengthen
WVU`s institutional memory and learning on urban programming.

Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should possess a Degree in
Social Sciences, Social Work & Social Administration, Economics,
Development, Resource Management or related field - Three or more years experience in
working with youth empowerment projects/programs - Knowledge of M&E, documentation and
reporting - Experience in capacity building for
staff and partners and generally working with partners - Self-motivated with excellent time
management skills. - Knowledge of the youth sector and
context in Uganda - Experience with youth-centered advocacy
and engagement - Ability to mainstream gender in project
implementation, monitoring, documentation and reporting - Mature Christian, able to stand above
denominational diversities
