About US:
EABL(Uganda) is operating in an FMCG environment in which it
controls more than 50% of the existing local beer and spirits market, with a
huge potential for further growth, both within and outside the country. It now
has all its production operations carried out on one site. The company sells
most of its beer products mainly in the local market. However, it sells a lot
of spirits products in GLR. The company has also expanded its beer packaging
capacity to 1.7 Million hectolitres with some of the imported SKU’s to be
produced locally once brew-house capacity is also increased. Spirits packaging
has two lines: Glass line with the capacity of 3,000BPH and PET line with the
capacity of 3,000 BPH.Currently the company produces 08 Spirits brands locally
and imports and distributes many other premium DIAGEO brands.

Job Summary: The Job
holder will;
  • Manage
    and coordinate the logistics of work-in-progress (WIP) using Sun System
    /SAP to avail finished goods for sales.
  • Coordinate
    perpetual stock take, and avail information for planning.
  • Monitor
    and report production performance against agreed key performance
    indicators (KPIs)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage Sun System/SAP as a logistics / Accounting
    tool:
  • Liase with business information systems to
    ensure system is delivering expectation
    Coordinate routine update of system with new items by liasing with users
    and Data Maintenance
  • Availability of WIP and finished goods at
    the right place/stage at the right time:
  • Ensure materials are timely and accurately
    costed into the system
  • Coordinate with stores to ensure perpetual
    stocks are taken and entered into the system.
    Ensure that perpetual stocks of WIP and materials are taken, and
    reconciled production and material usage figures are entered into the
    system to reflect accurate activity costs.
  • Coordinate with warehouse to ensure that
    finished goods are availed for sales order processing (SOP) at the right
    time.
  • Report issues and anomalies on system
    performance.
  • Coordinate monthly and statutory stock
    take:
  • Liase with production teams to time in the
    stock take exercise without jeopardising sales.
    Generate, analyse and report stock take variance for management decision.
  • Avail the report for review by management
    in time to meet Diageo circulation timelines.
Decision Making Authority:
  • Authority to carry out operations
    transactions on the inventory control through the production planning and
    accounting module.
  • Most decisions are made within departmental
    guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Accurate
    and timely processing of production outputs.
  • Accurate
    and timely stock take variance reporting
Qualifications, Skills And Experience:
  • Minimum DIPLOMA in business studies
    involving Financial accounting , economics and/or IT management
  • Certificate in Packaging technology
  • Hands-on experience in production
    operations of not less than 3 years, 1 of which must have been spent on
    demonstrated management of Production Accounting
  • Knowledge of manufacturing SAP
