Job Summary: The Programme
M&E Officer will be responsible for strengthening and improving monitoring
and evaluation systems within the districts to ensure that the project
implementation is in line with National Strategic Plans, Policies and
Guidelines. He/She will coordinate and manage the M&E related Country interventions
and personnel for SRH/
MCH projects in Uganda country Programs. He/She will also provide technical
assistance to projects staff and partners in developing performance indicators
and design data collection tools.
M&E Officer will be responsible for strengthening and improving monitoring

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Initiate the development/review of key
SRH/MCH M&E documents that include the M&E Plan, PMP and
Implementation schedules among others. - Offer support and review the project plans,
agree on performance indicators, methods of information collection and
storage, monitoring time frames and roles/ responsibilities for SRH/MCH
Country Programs. - Assess projects staff, local government
staff, community Health Workers and VHTs’ capacity needs to appropriately
use the activity report tools/forms and other performance related monitors
for SRH/MCH projects in Uganda country programs. - Take lead in database development and
maintaining the projects information management system for the projects area
and update the APD for all SRH/MCH country projects. - Establish a Monitoring mechanism to provide
timely feedback on projects progress at all levels and all times. - Build capacity of projects staff and key
implementing partners through on job training support
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Degree or
training in Environmental health, bio-statistical analysis and data
management. - Professional training in M&E with at
least four years experience in designing and implementing participatory
M&E systems. - Experience in operations research an added
advantage.
