Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician will carry out laboratory
investigations for disease diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control
specifically for HIV for eligibility for circumcision.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for
    collection and handling of laboratory specimens
  • Analyzing and
    interpreting laboratory test results and submit reports
  • Liaising with SMC team
    in the preparation of patients for laboratory test.
  • Requisitioning and
    accounting for laboratory materials and sundries.
  • Maintaining laboratory
    register for all clients using the services
  • Maintaining an
    inventory of the laboratory equipment and ensure their functionality.
  • Enforcing safety and
    quality control measures in the laboratory.
  • Participating in
    research activities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Possess a diploma in
    medical laboratory or its equivalent form a recognized institution.
  • Be registered and
    licenced with the allied health professional’s council.
