Job Summary: The Clinical Officer will take lead and coordinate
routine safe male circumcision activities at the wellness centers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out safe medical
    circumcision surgery for project target age group at fixed or mobile
    sites.
  • Ensure documentation
    of all surgical and follow up procedures including follow up and
    management of adverse effects
  • Ensure that
    circumcisions are carried out safely and in accordance with agreed
    policies
  • Ensure that all SMC
    activities are done according to the standard operating procedures and
    ethical requirements.
  • Manage and account for
    allocated recourses including medical drugs and supplies.
  • Refer complicated
    cases for further management.
  • Provide leadership and
    mentorship to the SMC team at the wellness centre
  • Support other project
    related duties as required
  • Submit regular reports
    as required by the project and the MOH.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should
    possess a diploma in clinical medicine and community health from a recognized
    institution.
  • Must be registered and
    licenced by the allied health professionals council
  • At least two years
    experience preferably in a circumcision surgical setting
