Job Summary:
The Completions
Manager will be responsible for the management of all cased hole completion
operations and business development for the East Africa Region ensuring a
professional service is delivered to the Client at all times and that
Weatherford budget targets are met.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managing a team of ex-pat and national
    staff to provide Weatherford product lines to the client in a busy
    environment. This will include ensuring that sufficient equipment and
    personnel resources are planned and available for current and projected
    work scopes.
  •  Responsible for maximizing
    financial results of the unit including profit & loss, fixed assets,
    inventory and receivables
  •  Develop strong operational and
    business social relationships with our existing customers and become involved
    in industry related activities.
  •  Monitor the performance of all
    service departments and ensure standards are continually improved and
    maintained to acceptable levelsl Resolve service issues directly with the
    customers, ensuring communication with the Operations Manager and use the
    information gleaned to appraise the relevant service department.
  •  Ensure reporting systems are
    efficient, efective and in line with company policy.
  • Keep abreast of all technical
    developments within our industry, particularly those of our competitors in
    order to retain competitive advantage within the market.
  • To create and maintain an environment
    where safety is an integral part of all operations.
  • Appraise each direct report on an annual
    basis and drive appraisal process throughout the country in order to
    maximize the performance of the team. To agree and monitor key safety,
    financial, business process improvement and personal objectives for each
    direct report. To implement effective training plans.
  •  Any other delegated responsibilities
    as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe
    and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the
    instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to
    fulfill these.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate should hold Standard Grade
    or “O” Grade in English and Maths Formal engineering qualification.
  •  Formal Business qualification.
  • 15 years of relevant experience in an
    oilfield service environment a must and a minimum of 5 years in a
    management role within Weatherford
  •  Budgetary control and financial
    awareness.
  • Previous experience of international
    Operations.
  •  Detailed knowledge of Weatherford
    business units and activities.
  •  Detailed knowledge of Weatherford
    work processes, policies and procedure
  •  Effective financial and commercial
    management skills.
  •  Credibility with staff and
    management.
  •  Business development awareness
  • Ability to build customer relationships
