Job Summary: The Project
Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement Coordinator PRAAC Project will
act as a resource in the PRAAC Project Team in planning, data improvement of
the PRAAC project. The incumbent will ensure the project implements the project
MERI framework successfully and provide technical leadership to the project
team on M&E, including training, development and usage of monitoring tools,
planning and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement the project MERI framework and
    coordinate tasks and processes for monitoring project progress.
  • Develop indicators and monitoring formats
    and tools for the project
  • Establish and manage a filing system for
    all project data.
  • Train, mentor and coach PRAAC project
    staff and partner staff on the MERI framework, data collection and use of
    monitoring tools.
  • Offer technical assistance to project
    staff on participatory monitoring methodologies with communities
  • Take lead role in conducting project
    studies, mid-term reviews, final evaluations and any other monitoring
    event of the highest quality and as per MERI framework.
  • Record and analyse project monitoring data
    from working districts monthly and report to project manager.
  • Take lead of the monitoring processes and
    exercises using the MSC monitoring tool and other digital monitoring tools
  • Prepare draft M&E project progress
    report on a quarterly basis based on district progress reports.
  • Participate in writing and editing project
    documentations and reports on best practices, case studies and lessons
    learnt
  • Compile and disseminate M&E
    information needed for periodic project planning and take lead in planning
    for the quarterly “monitoring week”.
  • Provide support to project work and budget
    planning.
  • Offer support the utilization of the
    corporate M & E system (PALS) within the projects and support
    preparations and modifications of Project Outlines.
  • Ensure the PRAAC MERI systems and
    practices are aligned and integrated with the corporate PALS and PPM
    systems
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicants should possess a Bachelor
    degree (preferred) in Development. Social Sciences or its equivalent,
    training /background and professional training on monitoring and
    evaluation.
  • At least 3 years in monitoring and documentation
    of projects
  • Knowledge of environment and current
    effective practice on monitoring & evaluation
  • Demonstrable abilities in planning and
    coordination
  • Excellent oral and written communication
    skills plus face-to-face presentation
  • Willingness to undertake travel throughout
    Uganda
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking
  • Experience in M&E of rights-based
    programmes on legal and human rights protection and participation of
    especially marginalised women and youth
  • Excellent Interpersonal and analytical
    skills with at least 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of
    projects/ programs
  • Computers literacy skills in MS Office and
    Internet
  • Motorcycle riding skills & experience
