About PPDA:
The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA)
is established
under the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to formulate policies and regulate
procurement and
disposal practices in respect of all procuring and disposing entities
which include Central
Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State
Enterprises,
Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and Post Primary Training
Institutions.
Job Summary:  The job holder will post financial and
accounting data/transactions in appropriate books of account.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journals to post to the general
    ledger.
  • Compile P.A.Y.E, Local Service Tax, and
    NSSF schedules for remittance to the relevant bodies.
  • Prepare monthly returns for P.A.Y.E and
    NSSF for submission to the relevant bodies
  • Notify suppliers about payments/transfers
    made to their accounts in the respective banks.
  • Follow up on receipts and all requisite
    documents for filing
  • Monitor Budget implementation and ensure
    that all expenditure is correctly coded.
  • Prepare a schedule of Assets to be
    engraved.
  • Participate in the end/closure of year
    activities.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by
    the Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate should possess an  Honours degree  in 
    Bachelor of  Commerce,
    Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science;  all majoring in Accounting from a
    recognised University.
  • Credits in both Math and English at O’
    Level.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good communication and report writing
    skills
  • High standards of integrity
  • Must be computer literate
  • Good interpersonal skills and team
    oriented individual.
