About KBUC:
Kisubi Brothers University
College (KBUC) is part of Uganda Martyrs’ University and it’s owned by Ugandan
Province of Brothers, a Christian Institution. The institution of higher
learning strives to instill in its learners such knowledge, skills and
attitudes which are prudent and crucial in holistic development as well as
transformation of communities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Developing
    the Faculty into a strong and dynamic unit of the University College by
    putting in place the structures necessary to realize the University
    College’s objectives, aims and goals Heading and assuring the leadership
    and management of the Faculty
  • Organising
    and coordinating the teaching and learning activities in the Faculty
  • Organising
    and coordinating the research activities in the Faculty
  • Ensuring
    that assessment and evaluation is done properly, and in a timely manner
  • Organising
    and coordinating, from time to time, research forums and events in the
    University, in liaison with the Director of Graduate Studies and Research
  • Chairing
    and conducting meetings of the various organs of the Faculty
  • Ensuring,
    in liaison with the Registrar’s office, that all the students in the
    Faculty are duly registered
  • Conduct
    any other duties and functions as may be assigned him/her by relevant
    authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    faculty Dean should possess a Ph.D in the relevant discipline(s)
  • Evidence
    of extensive scholarly work and research
  • At
    least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position
  • At
    least five (5) years’ work experience in an institution of higher learning
  • Excellent
    administration and management skills
  • Familiarity
    with higher education policies and practices in Uganda
  • Good
    organizational and people skills
  • Ability
    to deliver under minimum supervision
  • Ability
    to work within and to meet set deadlines
