Key Duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinating activities within the Office
    of the Vice Chancellor, and ensuring the smooth running of the Office, in
    collaboration with the other staff under this Unit. 
  • Connecting the Office of the
    Vice-Chancellor with other Units in the University.
  • Collecting Departmental updates and production
    of Reports on University progress as and when necessary.
  • Attend to visitors to the Vice
    Chancellor’s Office and responding to their inquiries appropriately.
  • Drafting internal and external
    correspondence as and when required by the Vice Chancellor.
  • Providing secretarial services in respect
    of meetings conducted under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor
  • Attending to routine work, including
    follow up of decisions made by Management, when need arises.
  • Perform any other duties that may be
    assigned from time to time by the supervisor. 
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The Secretary should hold a Masters
    degree, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work and interact with a
    diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work long hours without close
    supervision.
  • The applicant should possess a high level
    of integrity.
