Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Defining technical solutions based upon the Customer requirement with MSA scope.
  • Assessing server, storage and infrastructure sizing including capacity and performance.
  • Problem & root cause identification of critical and reoccurring issues.
  • Best practice implementation in domain.
  • Defining data center hardware configurations to meet application requirements including servers, storage, data center networks, and load balancing and clustering services based upon according to architecture standards.
  • Reviewing and evaluating current provided services, including monitoring, for service improvements. This activity will include updating event thresholds and turning event and incident correlation.
  • Provide technical oversight and support teams by leading high level/impact incidents to drive to conclusion and add to root cause analysis. Also may be responsible for the development of resolutions for systemic issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining a relationship with the client’s GM & CIO and technical leadership to understand the client’s technology landscape, business needs and direction.
  • Working with IT teams to ensure application requirements are understood and translated to technical solutions. Technical solutions should consider the operational support requirements to ensure they meet operational standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Consultant should have significant experience with integration of heterogeneous technology environments as well as maintaining operational management across coexistent multiple generations of technology in an enterprise data center environment
  • Data Center Operational Support experience  of seven or more years
  • Ability to set direction and lead technical staff to design and deliver Service Improvement projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to interface with Sr. Managers
  • High level understanding of Windows server 2003/2008/2012 with operational, architectural & Implementation support with 7+ years’ experience
  • High level understanding of Virtualization technology (Vmware Esx, Hyper-V) with operational, architectural & Implementation support with 7+ years’ experience
  • Architectural, Implementation and operational knowledge of Messaging collaboration systems (Exchange 2007/2010/2013), Lync, SharePoint, Active Directory along with Citrix Xenapp.
  • Migration experience of Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 or 2013.
  • Extensive knowledge in backup, restore, and archival technologies
  • Shell scripting knowledge and Automation of repeated tasks using scripts.
  • OS hardening & Implementation of security patches
  • Managing Disk space, Processor Utilization, Network Utilization related to server.
  • Patch management in Wintel/ Exchange/ Vmware environment
  • Core Knowledge on hardware Sun Blades & M, T series servers/ Intel Blades servers.
  • Processing and resolving support service requests & Evaluating and reporting system performance.
  • Has experience developing and supporting Disaster Recovery architecture, strategies, and implementations.
  • IT Systems monitoring experience with Nagios, Solar Winds, Uptime and other monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Service Management: ITIL Certification is mandatory
  • Technically sound, able to understand the customer needs and project requirements
  • Planning and Execution abilities
  • Defining the E Mail Policy. Implementation of Mail Aging Policy / E Mail Policy
  • Public Folder Maintenance (Defining Hierarchy)
  • Defining the Backup & Restore Policy for
  • Analyzing Log Files of Exchange, Windows & Vmware
  • Configuring IDS and Antivirus Configuration for Mail server.
  • Knowledge on Scom, Sccm, Blackberry & Cluster.
  • Event log analysis at regular interval for maintaining the integrity of   database/servers
  • Group policy objects management
  • Auditing of servers – AV, PATCH and security audits
  • Trend analysis and capacity planning
  • Audit on servers – People, Process & Technology
  • Hardware sizing – Capacity planning for the OS Parameters like CPU, Memory & Disk for new project requirement
  • Troubleshooting server and operating system disruptions and working with vendors to resolve the issues.
  • Implement and Manage Complex Storage Solutions & capacity  under Virtual Environment
  • Configure and Maintain VLANs, PVLANs and VLAN Settings along with complex virtual networks
  • Administer vNetwork Distributed Switch Settings & virtual networking. Tune and Optimize vSphere Performance & virtual machine resources. Implement and Maintain Complex DRS & HA Solutions
  • Perform Capacity Planning in a vSphere Environment. Configure a vSphere Environment to support MSCS Clustering. Implement and Maintain Host Profiles.
  • Deploy and Manage Complex Update Manager Environments. Configure, Manage and Analyze vSphere Log Files
  • Install ESX Server with custom settings. Plan and Execute Scripted Installations. Configure vCenter Server Linked Mode
