HAU:
Hospice Africa Uganda (HAU)
(national organization) has been working in Uganda since 1993 and has promoted
modern methods of pain and symptom control as well as “whole-person” (holistic)
care for patients living with cancer and HIV/AIDS. HAU strives to uphold
excellent clinical standards and provide quality education courses and advocacy
activities to promote spread of palliative care throughout Uganda and Africa.
Hospice Africa Uganda has a head office in Kampala, site offices in Mbarara and
Hoima Districts.
Job
Summary:
 The Project Coordinator will supervise the development
of home-based care services for those needing additional care after
hospitalization or due to a degenerative illness or accident. This is an
income-generating activity for HAU to subsidize the free services offered to
patients and their families for end of life palliative care.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant should hold a Post graduate degree in Administration,
    Development Studies, Public health or relevant technical qualification in
    health, or experience preferred.
  • Three
    or more years experience in an officer position preferably in NGO setting.
  • The
    applicant should have personal initiative and high team ethic.
