developed the concept of BSPACE, a cutting edge business service ecosystem that
will be the organization that understands and orchestrates market driven
(systemic) innovations that positively impact low income groups in Uganda. B SPACE will act as focal point for BoP consumers, farmers, companies,
NGOs, government and investors who have a role to play in economic development
in Uganda. By smartly connecting and orchestrating their perspectives,
knowledge and resources, it catalyses inclusive innovations and
entrepreneurship in rural Uganda.

Job Summary: The Operational
manager should be visionary with strong strategic skills and able to make the
right connections between different expertise fields. He/she should be a strong
networker with empathic skills. He/she
should also be able to operate in and facilitate multi-stakeholders processes
and identify roles, responsibilities and complementary areas. The person should
be a pioneer and innovator who considers it as a challenge to develop his/her
own business in a complex stakeholders field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational aspects of B Space
(the core and its service provision ecosystem) - Development of a viable business plan of B
Space with long term vision - Financial management and resource
mobilisation - Development of products & services
- Drawing packages of services towards needs
of clients - Map out partnership development &
management with essential ecosystem service providers - Establishing relations and complementary
collaboration with relevant (inter)national networks - Responsible for marketing &
acquisition of clients - Coordination local branding
- Linking & learning with international
B Space.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
Applicant should hold a Degree from a recognised institute in economy,
management or comparable education - At
least 10-15 years working experience in innovation management (preferably
in private sector) - Leadership
qualities: visionary, integrity, coaching, inspiring, connecting, result
and goal-oriented and self-motivated - Ability
to strategize and develop new concepts - Strong
team player, but at same time ability to take the lead - Extensive
relations with (inter)national business community and preferably with relevant
governmental and aid agencies in field of private sector development - Insight
in or affinity with social issues - Strong
networker and negotiation skills - Thinking
capability - Strong
communication (written and
spoken), computer (Microsoft Office Pro) and presentation skills - Learning
attitude - Fluent
in English and main Ugandan national languages - Willing
and able to travel frequently.
