About SAFE:
USAID-Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity and Peace (SAFE)
is seeking to implement a five-year Program through National Center for State
Courts (NCSC) whose goal is to strengthen the capacity of the government of
Uganda, and civil society in peace building. The Program is recruiting Mobile
Coordinators (MC) to support the implementation of its Programs in different
regions in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Mobile Coordinator will be responsible
    for the mobilization for Program activities, including making contacts in
    target districts and setting meetings for Program staff
  • Building key relationships with
    stakeholders in local government, civil society, media and other
    institutions or any other resource persons
  • Serve as a source of information for
    Program assessments and verification of any information received
  • Assist with logistics and organization of
    training and other Program activities
  • Monitor and grantee performance and
    participate in the activities in the target districts
  • Document Program progress and results
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant should possess at least a
    Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field (a
    degree is a plus)
  • At least two (2) years of experience in
    mobilization and program coordination work
  • Experience working on legal, land, or
    conflict related issues
  • Experience liaising with local government
    and civil society
  • Experience working on a donor-funded
    project, preferably USAID .
  • Knowledge of local language relevant in
    the target region
  • Possession of a valid riding permit
