About URC: 
University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health
organization working in Uganda since 2005, is implementing the USAID-funded
Strengthening Uganda’s Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) project.
The project supports delivery of quality HIV prevention, treatment, care and
laboratory services at selected referral and general hospitals.
Job Summary: The IT Support
& Asset Management Officer will offer daily on-site/off-site technical
support to staff on hardware and software administration issues, IT systems,
ensure back-up of data and proper usage maintenance of all IT equipment and
update all software and systems in use, oversee the asset and IT policy of URC.
S/he will also manage all Assets purchased under SUSTAIN and located at the
various hospitals as well as Kampala office.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant should possess a bachelor’s
    degree in Information Technology (IT), or Computer Science, Microsoft
    certified course, Cisco certified, Programming.
  • At least five (5) years working experience
    in a similar capacity with a reputable organisation or well established IT
    firm.
  • Experience working for an NGO and/or in a
    development context is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated a high level of responsiveness
  • Detail-oriented and has ability to
    organize multiple and diverse tasks, but the flexibility to adjust to
    program needs
  • High degree of motivation and commitment
    to the program, the job tasks, and the work as a member of a
    multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong skills in teamwork and Excellent
    analytical skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • High level of integrity, Honest and
    Trustworthy and Flexible.
