About
Us:
The Government of Uganda
through the Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing the NSIS project. The
project is crucial for the creation of a Biometric National Identification
Register in order to strengthen identity management, national security and the
social economic development of the country through accurate people
identification and registration. The main objective of the project is to create
a reliable system for the identification of persons and issuance of secure
identification cards for citizens and other residents. The Ministry would like to
recruit human resources on attractive contract terms for an initial period of
twelve (12) months to support the existing project team.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drawing
    up and monitoring appointments
  • Taking
    dictation, transcribing and producing error free work
  • Attending
    to callers either in person or on telephone
  • Ensuring
    timely responses to inquiries and correspondences to and from office
  • Receiving
    incoming mail and supervising the dispatch of outgoing mail
  • Providing
    office management services
  • Ensuring
    cleanliness and orderliness of the office
  • Managing
    records in accordance with established security and records management procedures
  • Any
    other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant should possess an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial
    Studies or Office Management or any other related disciplines.
  • At
    least two years relevant working experience from a reputable organisation.
    Age: Below 30 years
