Us:
The Government of Uganda
through the Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing the NSIS project. The
project is crucial for the creation of a Biometric National Identification
Register in order to strengthen identity management, national security and the
social economic development of the country through accurate people
identification and registration. The main objective of the project is to create
a reliable system for the identification of persons and issuance of secure
identification cards for citizens and other residents. The Ministry would like
to recruit human resources on attractive contract terms for an initial period
of twelve (12) months to support the existing project team.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administering,
    developing, maintaining and implementing the policies and procedures
    necessary to ensure the security and integrity of the databases.
  • Following
    and resolving database related incidents and requests
  • Managing
    the information within the Project.
  • Managing
    data security, integrity and privacy
  • Improving
    query processing performance
  • Any
    other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
  • The
    Administrator should possess an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Computer
    Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Information System Management
  • At
    least two years relevant working experience from a reputable organisation.
  • Age: Below 30 years
