United Nations UNICEF Jobs – WASH Specialist (Community Water Management)

Job Summary: The WASH Specialist will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of assigned programme/project(s) within the water, sanitation and hygiene programme.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The incumbent will prepare programme documents and participate in preparation of sectoral work plan as required;
  • Participate in intersectoral collaboration with other programmes and coordinate with national and international agencies covering the management of programmes;
  • Provide technical support and capacity building to government authorities;
  • Coordinate the supply and non-supply activities ensuring timely accountability.
 Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Advanced University Degree in Civil Engineering, public health/ water
  • Five sanitation and hygiene, civil engineering, or related technical field; 
  • Years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience in participatory rural appraisal and community a related field.  
  • Experience working in the private sector in WASH is anticipation.  
  • Fluency in English is required and strong written and verbal advantage.
