• Develop and implement internal audit strategy, procedures, policies and performance plan.
• Develop an annual audit plan using input from the team and stakeholders to identify priorities and resource requirements.
• Schedule and assign audits to team members, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
• Ensure quality control of the team’s audit plans on an ongoing basis by reviewing and approving plans as they are developed and communicated.
• Oversee and provide quality control for the department’s audits, to ensure departmental mandate and business goals are met and that professional standards are maintained at all times.
• Conduct audit reviews with all the banks’ branches to ensure that the controls are sufficient
• Ensure completion of audit assignments to provide independent, objective assurance to the Board of Directors Audit Committee.
• Work closely with Finance and Operations departments to co-ordinate Central Bank inspection audits and ensures efficient access to books and records
• Ensure that overall Fraud Investigation strategy, operational plan, policies and procedures are implemented. 

• University degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or Management.
• Membership of a professional body (ACCA,IIA,CIA,ICPAU)
• Minimum of five years experience in Audit practice in a financial services institution.
• Minimum of four years experience in General Management skills.
• Communications skills
• Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Proficiency in computer packages (MS Excel and Word).
