Job Title: Project Manager
Organisation:  Little Light Uganda
Reports to: Board of Directors
Duty Station: Uganda
Job Summary: The Project Manager will direct and
coordinate the operations of the Organization. The Project Manager will direct
other staff to achieve their departmental goals. Therefore, must be able to
delegate responsibility. He/she must organize monitor and supervise all
departments so that the employees know exactly what role each has to play.
Project Manager must understand the work of the organization’s departments
thoroughly. He/she will constantly be required to make difficult decisions
about departmental activities. He/she must be able to read and analyze a great
deal of information in a short time.
The Project Manager must write clear reports for the board members. He/she must
have strong leadership qualities and be able to get excellent performance from
their support staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Writing
    grants proposals for the organization.
  • Identify
    new sources of funding for the organization.
  • Maintain
    a good relationship with the partners and develop new instrumental
    partnerships with other organizations/ service providers.
  • Developing
    and designing sustainability projects.
  • Completing
    reports and updating the board.
  • Making
    budgets and annual financial reports.
  • Coordinate
    all projects of the Organization.
  • Maintain
    the relationship of Donors with the organization by informing, updating
    and replying to all donor queries.
  • He/
    she will supervise the finances and accounts of the organization .i.e.
    incomes and expenses and will accountable to the Board in this regard.
  • Maintain
    a good public image for the organization.
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • A
    bachelor degree in development or other relevant field.
  • Minimum
    two years experience as a part of a management team.
  • Minimum
    two years experience working in development.
  • Fluent
    in English and Luganda, both speaking and writing.
